Biotage Flash Cartridges

Biotage manufactures three cartridge designs, the i-style, the FLASH+^® design and ISOLUTE purification cartridges. Cartridge sizes range from 12 mm ID up to 400 mm ID for scales ranging from milligrams to kilograms. Manufactured from MDPE to meet the extractables requirements in US 21 CFR 177.1520 and packed using proprietary methods that strictly adhere to ISO 9001:2000 quality standards, our cartridges undergo a battery of tests including shock resistance and chromatography testing. Each cartridge is laser-etched with a unique lot number to ensure traceability, . 

FLASH+^® Cartridge
This patented cartridge design has a recessed inlet to accommodate either a Samplet™ cartridge or loose precoated silica. When used with a compression module the cartridge will operate at pressures up to 7 bar (100 psi). Most competitive cartridges tolerate only 3.5 bar 50 psi and are not protected against failure.

FLASH+ cartridges perform at the highest level averaging over 450 plates per cartridge for superior loading capacity. When used with Samplet cartridges, loading capacity can be double over a conventional cartridge with a liquid sample injection.

ISOLUTE Cartridges
All FlashMaster systems use disposable pre-packed ISOLUTE^® flash columns which are easy-to-use and affordable. ISOLUTE columns are available in sizes from2 g to 100 g in both normal and reversed phase chemistries. ISOLUTE columns are manufactured using advanced packing techniques under stringent quality control so you can be assured of reproducible column-to-column chromatographic performance. Scale-up of flash chromatography methods is easily achieved with minimal optimization.

FlashPack Plunger Assemblies
ISOLUTE Flash Chromatography Columns require a plunger assembly for compatibility with FlashMaster Flash Chromatography Systems.

"i-style" Cartridges
The original design developed in the 1990’s actually is two different designs, a basic, symmetrical cylinder (FLASH 12i™, FLASH 75i™, FLASH 150i™, and FLASH 400i™) and a Luer-lock cartridge design used with FLASH 40i™ and FLASH 65i™ cartridges.  The FLASH 12i™ and FLASH 40i™ were discontinued on January 1, 2009, but we have included alternatives below.
