MP-Borohydride is a macroporous, resinbound borohydride that is a resin bound equivalent of tetraalkylammonium borohydride. The bound borohydride is a versatile reducing agent1,2,3 used for the reduction of carbonyl compounds and imines, and the reductive amination of aldehydes and ketones (Scheme 1). While the free form reagent is generally used in large excess and requires extraction of the reaction mixture for workup, the resin bound form can be used in slight excess and removed easily via filtration of the resin.
