A Japanese research team have made one of the longest peptides to date utilizing the Biotage® Syro Wave™ automated peptide synthesizer, published in Biochemical and Biophysical Research Communications. The 80-mer, called NPGL (Neurosecretory Protein GL), is a neuropeptide precursor expressed in birds' brains and is involved in the growth process in chicks.
