Biotage® Initiator Peptide Workstation is a cost-effective and versatile accessory for manual microwave-assisted peptide synthesis and cleavage. Designed for use with Biotage® Initiator+ microwave synthesizer, it requires no modifications and supports both solution and solid-phase microwave synthesis. The accessory includes reusable microwave peptide vials in two sizes (2–5 mL and 10–20 mL), suitable for synthesis on a 50–500 μmol scale. Each vial is easy to assemble and features a glass vial, HDPE frit, check valve, and snap cap with septum.
Microwave irradiation accelerates synthesis and enables the production of difficult sequences that are challenging or even impossible using conventional methods. The workstation also supports post-synthetic modifications and other types of chemistry, including organic synthesis, PNA, and peptoid synthesis.
The compact wash station with a height-adjustable vacuum head allows fast emptying and washing of vials when connected to a vacuum pump. Collected materials can be transferred into standard lab containers such as GL 45 bottles, centrifuge tubes, or round-bottom flasks, making the process efficient and lab-friendly.
