    Simplifying oligonucleotide sample preparation with Biotage® Oligo SPE

    Biotage is proud to introduce Biotage® Oligo SPE, a new solid-phase extraction solution developed to meet the growing demand for robust, high-performance sample preparation in oligonucleotide bioanalysis.

    As oligonucleotide-based therapeutics continue to advance drug discovery, bioanalytical labs face increasing pressure to deliver accurate, reproducible results from complex biological samples. Biotage® Oligo SPE addresses this need with a powerful combination of sensitivity, selectivity, and workflow flexibility.

    With tailored WAX chemistry and optimized pore size, Biotage® Oligo SPE enables accurate quantification even at low concentrations and has demonstrated significantly higher sensitivity compared to competitor methods, with up to 40 times greater signal in some cases. It delivers clean extracts by effectively removing proteins, salts, sugars, lipids, and DNA fragments, minimizing matrix effects and ensuring consistent LC-MS/MS performance.

    Biotage® Oligo SPE is part of a fully integrated, end-to-end workflow for oligonucleotide bioanalysis. The process begins with Biotage® Lysera, a high-performance bead mill homogenizer for rapid and efficient sample disruption. The extraction and clean-up steps are then performed using Biotage® Oligo SPE, which can be run manually or fully automated on the Biotage® Extrahera sample preparation system. Final sample concentration is achieved with TurboVap® evaporators, preparing samples for high-sensitivity LC-MS/MS analysis.
