ISOLUTE® C4 sorbent is not end-capped and secondary silanol interactions can be exploited to enhance extract purity and method robustness for basic analytes. Being a less retentive phase than C18, ISOLUTE® C4 shows impoved perfornace with large, very non-polar analytes, as the non-polar interactions are not as strong and that can be eluted more easily, in minimal elution volumes.
