ISOLUTE® PE-AX/SCX-2 is a silica-based sorbent with chemically bonded propylsulfonic acid and quaternary amine groups, enabling the simultaneous removal of both basic and acidic compounds. This makes it ideal for isolating a wide range of neutral compounds. 

 

During catch & release the media bed "catches” the compound of interest. Rinsing the cartridge with solvent removes impurities, leaving the compound of interest on the cartridge for subsequent elution by an appropriate solvent.
