Streamlining aqueous extractions with SPE

By Biotage

When working in a commercial testing laboratory, time is everything, and some days it feels like a never-ending journey just to get set up to start your extractions. A typical day would start by making sure that there were enough fully cleaned separatory funnels available. They would then require rinsing of acetone, if they were still wet from the wash, and finally a few rinses of DCM to get them primed for extraction. While those are left to evaporate for a short while, it was time to gather all of the glassware needed, again going through all of the proper cleaning procedures with them.
