ISOLUTE® HCX-5 combines non-polar and strong cation exchange retention mechanisms to isolate basic analytes from complex aqueous matrices such as urine and plasma. ISOLUTE® HCX-5 provides the cleanest extracts of all the ISOLUTE® mixed-mode sorbents. It is the ideal choice where the analyte to be extracted has sufficient non-polar character to be well retained by the non-polar component of the mixed-mode sorbent.
