Fast, automated affinity purification of GST-tagged recombinant proteins.
Glutathione PhyTip® columns enable automated affinity purification of glutathione S-transferase (GST) tagged antibodies and other recombinant proteins. The affinity resin provides high binding affinity and capacity for efficient purification of functional GST-tagged proteins. The GST tag, a 26 kDa protein, is known to enhance the solubility of expressed recombinant proteins.
Glutathione PhyTip® columns deliver 60–80% sample recovery and up to 90% purity. Dual-flow chromatography technology ensures efficient binding of the entire sample to a small resin bed, enabling elution in small volumes and generating highly concentrated protein samples. This efficient process allows purification of up to 96 samples in as little as 15 minutes.
Glutathione PhyTip® columns support protein samples from microgram to milligram scale (100 μL–50 mL) and sample volumes between 100 μL and 50 mL. They are compatible with all major liquid handling platforms and include pre-programmed automation protocols that can be easily customized for your application. Buffer kits with all required reagents for the purification protocol are also available. For optimal performance, Glutathione PhyTip® columns should be operated at a slow flow rate of 0.06 mL/min.
