Extraction of Catecholamine Acid Metabolites from Plasma Prior to Analysis Using LC-MS/MS

Catecholamine metabolites vanillylmandelic acid (VMA), homovanillic acid (HVA) and 5-hydroxyindoleacetic acid (5-HIAA) are biomarkers for neuroblastoma and catecholaminesecreting tumors. This poster describes optimization of the method development process to maximize analyte sensitivity in the extraction and quantitation of these metabolites from plasma.
