Sample processing by Normal Phase PhyTip columns by dual flow chromatography leads to specific enrichment of polar compounds – for instance oligosaccharides. As such, Normal Phase PhyTip columns are the only commercially available solution for high throughput, oligosaccharide purification for applications such as oligosaccharide mapping and identification analysis of glycoproteins.
Fluorescent dye labels are typically used to enhance detection of oligosaccharides performed by HPLC and capillary electrophoresis. Normal Phase PhyTip columns is enable automated sample dye removal before identification and quantification with high throughput and high reproducibility.
PhyNexus, now part of Biotage developed the PhyTip® column in 2002 and have supported researchers with automated protein purification ever since. PhyTip columns purifies samples by repeated back-and-forth cycles - a process called dual flow chromatography - allowing complete binding interactions in each purification step for excellent protein purification results.
Our PhyTip columns enable automation of processes that are otherwise difficult to automate. Normal phase PhyTip columns can be used for automated purification of oligosaccharide in a high throughput format.
Our unique column design with a packed resin bed results binding of the entire sample to a small resin bed volume. The purified sample can be eluted in small volumes, resulting in a highly concentrated sample.
Normal phase PhyTip columns can be used for purification of 96 samples in as little as 15 minutes.
