Oral fluid collection devices contain a range of additives that are required to stabilize the samples before analysis. However, these additives can also lead to significant ion suppression in LC-MS/MS. Chemists at Biotage RnD labs have carefully optimized extraction conditions for 47 individual drugs to obtain the necessary extract cleanliness, adding to the broad range of drugs of abuse and pain management drugs applicable for this method.
Analytes
ISOLUTE® SLE+ (Supported Liquid Extraction) columns offer an efficient alternative to traditional liquid-liquid extraction (LLE) for bioanalytical sample preparation, providing high analyte recoveries, no emulsion formation, and significantly reduced sample preparation. This application note describes an effective and efficient ISOLUTE SLE+ protocol optimized for both 200 μL and 500 μL sample volumes.
